Funny how a person can spin in so many different directions when running on less than three hours sleep. Brother. Oldest Son had friends over last night to celebrate his birthday (and eat all kinds of holiday leftovers, thankyouverymuch). They were as good as gold but giggled and snorted while playing the Wii and watching movies until after 2:30 AM when most went home. There were kids in and out of the house all night ... this was the group present when we did the ice cream cake:

This morning Hubby was concerned he forgot to shut off his alarm when he got up to lift so he came back in the room to check. Unfortunately when he opened the door he had left on the hall light and it came blaring onto my poor sleep deprived face. I was instantly ah-wake. I looked at the clock, 5:20 AM. Sigh.
No matter, I wanted to get an early start because my friend's daughter was competing in a horse show today. The arena lighting was poor but she was lovely and placed second.
Now I lay me down to sleep ...
