My boys are rediscovering their brother-buddyhood. It's a wonderful thing to watch as they leave with friends to hang out at so-and-so's girlfriend's house to watch movies. EXCEPT when they stay out until after 2:00 AM making the mama not sleep but worry, send text messages and leave voice mails because the two things she said as they bounced out the front door was, "Drive safely. Be home early."
In Old Lady Land early does NOT mean early in the morning. And if you don't want a frazzled, extremely tired and ugly 42 year old woman losing her mind as you stop in her bedroom to say "hey, whatzup?" do not respond to her rantings with "C'mon Mom, 2:00 isn't late."
And yet they still draw breath. I'm a saint.
