I was a little disappointed at the majority of the Oscar gowns being bland colors. Come on, Ladies! Although the designs were very nice and feminine.
One of my finches passed over the rainbow bridge this weekend. At first I thought one of the dogs got him because I couldn't find him in the cage. It turned out he took a private corner behind the grit bowl to sing his last tweet. They're nasty to each other and really rather messy but that didn't stop me from feeling sad as I scooped up his little body.
Tonight it's Heroes and early to bed after spending the day cleaning house, doing paperwork, conducting a moment of silence for the departed finch and entertaining snow day teenagers. Sometimes (a lot of times) the kids were easier to care for when they were younger and "needed me."
